A 3-story commercial build —
wired, fenced, powered, monitored.

A 3-story commercial property in Nsansa, Wakiso District, needed every infrastructure layer simultaneously — electrical, solar back-up, perimeter security, automated gate, CCTV. PASS Systems specified and installed all of it on one schedule.

The brief

An entire infrastructure stack — one quote, one team.

The Nsansa Commercial Tower is the kind of project that usually generates five quotes from five contractors and a project manager who spends months reconciling their schedules. The owner brought PASS Systems in to deliver all of it as a single coordinated build — and the building came online on a schedule we set in advance, not one we negotiated retroactively.

What we built

  • Full electrical installation — three-story commercial wiring with certified panels and dedicated circuits for the high-load tenants.
  • Solar back-up system — battery-backed inverter array sized to ride out the typical Kampala-area outages without dropping the security or essential building services.
  • Automated gate — sliding gate with remote and mobile-app control, integrated with the access-control layer.
  • Electric fence + razor wire — layered perimeter defense engineered to stop the threat at the wall, not at the door.
  • 8-channel CCTV system — perimeter, lobby, common spaces and rooftop, monitored 24/7 from PASS-Ops.
Coordinating one team is faster, but the real win is that every system is designed knowing about every other system. The solar back-up knows what the CCTV needs at 3am.

Why integration mattered.

Commercial buildings break in the seams between systems. If the solar back-up doesn't know the CCTV's standby draw, the cameras drop when grid power fails. If the gate automation doesn't share a backup battery with the access control, an outage strands tenants. Sequencing all five systems under one team meant:

  1. Shared load model — the solar back-up was sized knowing every other system's standby and peak demands.
  2. Single excavation pass — electrical, CCTV conduit and gate-motor wiring were trenched together.
  3. Integrated commissioning — every system was tested against every other in the same week.

What it means

The reference for multi-tenant commercial builds.

Office blocks, apartment buildings, mixed-use towers — anywhere multiple infrastructure systems need to behave as one — the Nsansa install is the closest analog reference we offer.

01

One team, every system

Electrical, solar, perimeter, gate, CCTV — designed and installed as one integrated build, not five coordinated contractors.

02

Engineered for outages

The back-up system knows every other system. CCTV, gate, and essential power keep running when the grid doesn't.

03

Monitored after install

The 8-channel CCTV is enrolled in PASS-Ops monitoring — real engineers watch the feeds 24/7.
